The "Club Room" in the gardens was a pleasant surprise. It was very nicely decorated and quiet. The bed was very comfortable.
I saw one of the larger, family rooms and – in comparison to my room – it looked and felt rather "tired"!
The hotel is located in the middle of town, and is within easy walking distance to the main shopping area. The hotel accomodation is very comfortable and the pool area is good for relaxing when you are not off sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Additionally the restuarant food service was good, with a menu to suit all tastes.
Unfortunately it is considered too dangerous to venture outside the hotel after dark, due to the local indigenous population's drinking. We were advised that if we needed to leave the hotel after dark, that it was adviseable to drive, as some tourists have lately been harassed, and some even attacked at Kellys Knob. This is not a reflection of the hotel, which is safe, but something the local community must tackle and overcome to protect their tourism industry.
nice relaxing pool / bar area, clean / comfortable room
Staff were so friendly and very attentive, went out of their way to assist when required. Location is great and the pool area is a real draw card compared to other accommodation in knx.
I stayed the second two nights in Room 45 - bathroom was a little tired looking and I had to ask for a hairdryer, which was no problem, just leant towards it being in need of a revamp.
Early arrival, no problem with early access to room.
Casual visitors seemde to park outside our room all evening (room #2)
Location to the town site.
The prices in the restaurant were too expensive and the menu selection was poor. Same for the breakfast very expensive . The pool was closed without any notice. Repairs could have been done at night. The address on the booking form is not where the hotel is located, this made finding the entrance very difficult
Clean, cool rooms. Lovely gardens and setting. Plenty of parking.
Kellys Bar & Restaurant is a lovely setting but we felt it was overpriced and the meal was OK but not really to rave about. Our breakfast was adequate but very cold. We found a cafe in town for the rest of our stay where the breakfast was half the price and service great.
Staff were very helpful. Pool area was really well set out as was the bar and restaurant. The food was good as was the service. Room was a bit small but had all you wanted. We enjoyed our stay there.
The food at 'kelly's bar' was excellent and good value for money
Very disappointing. The 'luxurious' spin in the adverts did not hold true. The reception area and dining rooms were very worn with dirty walls, chipped paint and dirty windows (with well established cobwebs everywhere). The air conditioning units throughout were filthy dirty. The 'club room' was small yet quite modern (obviously recently refurbished). Unfortunately the same can't be said for the bathroom or the rest of the resort.. It had a shabby appearance. The toilet was leaking all over the floor and it only took persistence and a complaint to reception staff in front of new arrival guests to get moved. The 'movie channel' couldn't be watched because of awful sound. When the manager attended he said there was nothing he could do. We left our room early in the morning for a day out but on return the room was not made up. It took a call to reception to get clean towels delivered but we were told that new guests were a priority. The staff arrived at 5.30 pm to clean the room. We were relocated to an 'apartment suite' due to the leaky toilet but soon discovered no movie channels and ants all over the kitchen and bathroom work tops.outside the apartment was a table and chairs as well as an old motorbike in the corner with an old crate and loose rubbish (papers) all around it. A focus on cleaning the windows, walls and air con units would go a long way to improve the place. Also, increasing the staff to attend to the guests and clean the rooms would also be beneficial.( Rather than having staff attending to the gardening). The sail over the pool was covered in black stains (mould?) and not pristine as in the adverts a very expensive and disappointing stay.
They forgot to collect me from the airport despite booking airport pickup. The staff had to keep asking the manager questions. The room was cleanish only!!
